Late Winner Secures The Points

Dorset Premier League

Swanage Town & Herston 2 Cranborne 1

Substitute Liam Currell scrambled a last minute winner to secure the points for a disjointed Swanage. The home side made very hard work of the victory against a side with no manager and no substitutes, they actually played the second half with 2 injured players. The Swans created enough chances to win two games but poor finishing meant the Swans had to struggle for the win. After a goal-less first half Aaron Corby headed Swanage into the lead, but a mistake from keeper Stuart James gifted Cranborne the equaliizer. The points were secured with the dramatic late winner.

Swanage Crash To Bottom Club Hamworthy

Hamworthy Utd Res 3 Swanage Town & Herston 0

Swanage suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of basement team Hamworthy Utd Reserves. Swan's new signing Keith Middleton made his debut against his former club but made little impression in a lacklustre team performance. Hamworthy took the lead in the first half and increased it just after the interval. Although the swans had the lion's share of the second half they failed to capitalise on some good chances, and succumbed to a sucker punch late in the game to concede a third.

Manager Jason Phillips comments "We had a bad day at the office."

Swan's Share The Spoils

Swanage Town & Herston 2 Hamworthy Recreation 2

Swanage shared the points with Hamworthy Recreation at Days Park in a very tough encounter. Swans had a fantastic start through Jacob Harrop who hammered a 25 yarder past Kevin Leonard in the Hamworthy goal, but they responded with the equalizer and took the lead just before half time. Hamworthy started the second half very determined
but Swan's keeper Nick Taylor produced 3 fantastic saves to keep his side in the game. It was left to the effective Joe Kittle to head the equalizer to salvage a point for the Swans.
